In order to make our students' stay in Granada a much more pleasant occurrence and because we are sure they wish to get a better feel of our culture, colonial structures and nature; One on One Tutoring has prepared the following promotional package to our Spanish teaching program:
Spanish Tutoring
One on One Tutoring offers our potential students 20 hours of intensive Spanish classes (4 hours per day, 5 days of the week) with the cleverest, most knowledgeable and energetic Spanish instructors in Granada.
Accommodations
Students stay for 6 whole days at Doņa Delia´s where they enjoy a comfortable room with wide windows and private bathroom in the center of town at a walking distance from Parque Central, the market area, the lake and on one of the safest streets in Granada.
Meals
To spoil our students with our delicious, appetizing and finger liking Nicaraguan cuisine, our students do enjoy three meals per day at Restaurante Casa Blanca on calle La Calzada, where they are be able choose from a wide variety of totally Nicaraguan dishes: Vegetarians and none vegetarian! international dishes are also offered by Casa Blanca at affordable and inexpensive pricing.
Activities
On Monday, City tour: leaving from the school at 2 p.m. in the company of Gioconda, a young, friendly, bilingual-Nicaraguan tour-guide, students at One on One Tutoring do walk trough the streets of Granada where Gioconda introduces them to our history and folklore by visiting sites of interest such as churches, museums and others.
On Tuesdays, Salsa lessons: from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., Students get instructional Salsa lessons so they can either practice the steps they might already know or learn how to dance in minutes in order to be out on the floor in record time.
On Wednesdays, one of the following fieldtrips depending on what has been schedule for the week:
1.- Isletas Tour: In this majestic archipelago with volcanic origin, our students enjoys exuberant flora and fauna, a unique view of volcan Mombacho, as well as Ometepe island; where you will find two impressive volcanoes: el Concepcion and el Maderas. Watch a colony of monkeys, that lives on a small island and which, funnily, approach the boat as it gets close.
2.- Catarina's Lookout Tour: San Juan de Oriente; a small village whose population lives from art works and horse breeding. The location gives the village a pleasant climate and on the top of the hill you will find the famous Mirador de Catarina, where you can admire the magnificent view over Laguna de Apoyo. Be ready! Here, at San Juan de Oriente, you will be able to get the entire souvenir you could ever need.
3.- Laguna de Apoyo Tour: Our students get to the bottom of a crater where they get to swim in Nicaragua's cleanest, bluest, and deepest swimming hole.
4.- Masaya Tour (Artisan Market & Mirador): Shopping tour of native crafts market at the Artisan Market in Masaya where you can get all the souvenirs you may need to remember your stay in our beautiful country, Nicaragua.
On Thursday, visit to local swimming pool: Leaving from the school at two in the afternoon, on Thursday, guided by one of the school members, students walk through town to one of the cleanest swimming pools in town where they are be able to enjoy themselves, relax and exercise while swimming.
On Friday night, Karaoke night at Casa Blanca: Right after dinner, students enjoy themselves and relax while having either three soft drinks, three cold beers or three cocktails of their choice at no extra cost at Restaurante Casa Blanca where they are be able to sing alone or simply sit outside in order to get some of that fresh, cooling breeze we get every night coming from the lake.
